Did you know that State College holds the Guinness World Record for ice luminaries?
In 2017, community members worked together to fill Allen Street with 5,622 luminaries – more than doubling the previous record held by the small town of Voullerim in Sweden!
The record was attempted to create a sense of community pride and, six years later, we’re still smiling about how cool (cold?!) it was to achieve this together.
